The Globex Evacuation Chair

In addition to the Disability Discrimination Act which requires that access to buildings for non-ambulant persons be provided, recently introduced Fire Safety Legislation requires “Responsible Persons” to have appropriate emergency plans in place to evacuate all users of buildings in the event of an emergency without the assistance of the Fire and Rescue Service – GLOBEX Evacuation Chairs satisfy that requirement reliably, safely and economically.

Our GLOBEX Evacuation Chairs enable ONE PERSON to evacuate a non-ambulant person down stairs and out of a building quickly, easily and safely. Evacuation Chairs can be used in the event of an emergency or when lifts cannot be used during maintenance or a power failure.

Two models of GLOBEX Evacuation Chairs are available, one can go down stairs only and the other can also be used as a carry chair for going up stairs or over obstructions.
